Today’s
first performance was at 8:00am. We Had to load up and be ready
to go by 7:30, which made it 6:00 when we had to wake up and
start breakfast. Today we had 3 schools on the list to perform
at, the first at 8:00 and another at 10:00, and then another at
3:00. Our first performance went really well and the kids seemed
to be interested for the whole time we were there. After our
first school, we loaded into the bus and took off for our next
school which was a huge all girls school. This school would be
the second largest school we would visit on this trip. We got
there, and played some games with the girls as things were being
set up. Then at the beginning of the show, we taught the girls
how to do the wave which was really cool since there were so
many of them. After this, we headed back to the church to eat
and relax. At 3:00, we went back to one of the schools we have
already performed at but this time it was for a different age.
After we finished here, we went down to the central plaza and
performed in the middle walkway again. We all enjoy doing shows
here because we are in the center of one of the busiest parts of
Tacna and when we finish Tito can do an alter call which always
gets people to come forward. We finished at 8:00, and realized
that there was still a study going on back at the church in
Cuidad Nueva, so we decided to go grab some dinner in town. We
went to this really cool Pizza shop where while we were there,
they were doing an interview with the owner because it is
supposed to be one of the best pizza places in all of Tacna. It
was cool that we got to be the background sound for this
interview. After we ate a lot of pizza, we went back to the
church and wrapped up a long day.
