Day 6 - Monday July 10th

Our first stop of the morning was at the University we have visited so many times already this trip. After we finished speaking at the University, we all left on the bus (which was late for the first time) and we headed back to the church to partake of a glorious lunch meal. After lunch, the mimes mimed up and got ready to go to our solo performance. We loaded into the little bus and then took off to go to the senior citizen home. We got there and went inside to greet all of the people there. We did about 5 mimes but it was very difficult because of the attention span of the people and the randomness that they displayed. One of the older ladies kept wheeling herself out in the middle of a performance (see below picture). After we did our performances, we got to feed the people and interact with them. Nathan did a great job talking to one gentleman because he kept smiling and laughing. “That guy was actually kind of funny” – Nathan M. After that, we loaded back into the bus and went to the main church in Tacna central. We were there for a little while because we left our face wipes at the church in Ciudad Nueva so Marlene and Tito and Mark went back to get them. Most of us had a nice little nap but it didn’t last too long. Once they got back, we de-mimed and then left to go to the other university. We spent a little over and hour there talking to the students and then did a performance. After that, we packed up and left to head back home. We got back to the church, ate dinner, and then met up at the end of the night to do some worship and then we broke up for 15 minutes to work on our devotionals. Then we finally got to bed around 12.
