We
arrived at our hotel by 1:45am, unloaded the bus, and then got
our room assignments. Our wake up call was at 8am which was a
recording, and then a live person at 8:05. We got ready, and
then went downstairs by 8:30. We met up at 8:30 to eat breakfast
but everyone was late so we didn’t get into the hotel restaurant
until 8:45. We ate bread and eggs until 9:15, and then we loaded
onto the tour bus. We took off and visited several different
places in the city of Lima, going to cathedrals, catacombs, the
palace, parks, and embassies, and to the presidents house. We
also went to the beach where we ate lunch. We ate at a place called Prado’s Chicken
and then went to starbucks. We walked from here back to our
hotel where our Bus was waiting for us. At 4:00 we scrambled
to find carts again. We found the carts and then loaded them up
with the gear and went into the airport. We went through the
security and then checked our bags in. We went to the airport
tax place, paid our dues and then went through another security
check. Then we walked to our terminal where we were already
boarding. We loaded onto another bus and then went to our plane.
We were more scattered this time, but people managed to find
ways to sit remotely close to each other. The flight was a
little over an hour and a half. We landed in Tacna around 7:10
and we had to wait for Tito until 8. Tito came, we loaded up and
then left for the church. We got to the church at 9, unloaded
and then played with the kids for a little bit. The we ushered
them out, and ate dinner. Tito did the announcements
and introductions. Then at 10:15 we started practice and we
finished at 11:30. We talked until 12 and then everyone went to
their rooms to do what they needed to do.
