We slept in till
about 7:30 because the kids would arrive at 7:45 for breakfast.
We started off the morning washing the kids hands and eating
with them. After we ate, we mimed up and did a performance at
the church for the kids who came this morning for breakfast.
After our performance, we went into craft time with the kids, so
we broke up into age groups and gave the kids an activity to
work on for a little while. After the activities, we de-mimed
and broke down the puppet stage and then got ready to head into
town for a nice afternoon. The afternoon started at El Pollon
(the famous Chicken place) where we had a nice lunch with out
team. After El Pollon, we walked down to 28 (The big market)
where we spend about an hour and a half shopping. At 3:30 we met
outside at the bus, loaded up and left to come back to the
church to get ready for the service. We had a prayer time with
Tito and the Peruvians which was cool even though some of us
could not understand what was being said. After prayer time we
started service. Mark led worship with Haylee singing, and then
he led the service. At the end of his sermon, our mime team did
4 of our newest skits for the Peruvians and then we got a
special treat in getting to watch a group of Peruvians who went
to Ecuador perform two of our Mimes. They performed for us
Life’s choices, and Devil Goes to Town. They were really
interesting to watch and fun at the same time. After the skits,
Tito called our whole team up and gave a big thank you to us for
all of the hard work we have done this year. After service
(which this one ran about 3 hours) we got dressed and headed
down to the soccer field to play some soccer. After soccer, we
came back to the church, ate dinner, and then went to bed to
rest up for our long day of work tomorrow.
