We arrived at the
church by 8am, and the bus came a half hour early at 8:30. We
loaded up the bus pretty fast and then Pastor Josh Merold prayed
for us. After prayer, we wrapped things up, said our goodbyes
and then all got into the bus. WE took off of the church at 9am
and arrived at LAX at 10am. We made a mad dash to get carts for
everyone instead of paying 3 dollars for each cart. We loaded
them all up and then took them through the baggage scan. They
all got scanned and then we stood in line for a long time to get
everyone through. By 12 we were sitting down at the gate
terminal. Our plane boarded at 1:30, but we had to take a bus
from our terminal, to the plane which was really weird. We
finally made it to our bus and took off at 1:45pm. Most of us
were sitting together but some where spread out as well. For
lunch we ate the plane food which was a choice of pasta or
chicken. The Pasta was really good but the chicken was dry. They
played two movies on the flight; Fun with dick and Jane, and
Just friends. Then for dinner we had bread with ham and cheese
on it. WE all spread out around the plane for most of the flight
and played games, or watched movies or some who slept. We landed
around 9:45 our time and 11:45 Peru time. We got off the plane,
grabbed our boxes, and then went through customs. Most of us
made the random check but some did not. We found our tour guide,
and then walked out to our bus. We had a very very nice tour
bus. We loaded all of our equipment onto the bus, and then had
everyone load up and we were off to our hotel.
